The Elfers Cardiovascular Center is comprised of 3 locations. They are located on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (2014 Washington Street 2nd floor in Newton MA) 300 Boylston Street on Chestnut Hill and on 1450 Highland Needham. Our team provides a wide range of outpatient care for patients who have a high risk of heart disease. We provide diagnosis management of acute and chronic conditions and preventive care.
We are seeking a full-time 40-hour Hybrid Triage RN to support our Cardiology practices in Chestnut Hill and Needham. This role is scheduled Monday through Friday 8:30 AM5:00 PM and offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 remote days per week and 2 onsite days at either our Chestnut Hill or Needham location.
Primarily focused on phone triage the RN will handle patient interactions via telephone and provide guidance in accordance with guidelines/protocols - all within a clinically appropriate scope. As the majority of this role is telephone and Internet/EMR based the triage RN will work with all patients and clinicians of the entire practice regardless of the location in which the providers see the patients.
Essential Functions
-Deliver direct patient care and support ensuring high nursing standards.
-Conduct patient assessments devise care plans and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications and post-procedure care.
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
-Administer medications perform IV therapy and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Education
Associates Degree Nursing required and Bachelors Degree Nursing preferred

Registered Nurse RN - State License - Generic - HR Only required
Basic Life Support BLS Certification - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
