Tree Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and dependable seasonal Nursery Assistant to join our busy tree farm and nursery operation. This position is responsible for supporting daily nursery operations through hands-on horticultural work plant care inventory management order fulfillment and general nursery maintenance. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors has a strong work ethic and takes pride in maintaining healthy plants and an organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the care and maintenance of nursery stock including trees shrubs perennials and seasonal plant material.

• Water fertilize prune and monitor plant health to ensure quality growing conditions.

• Pull stage and load customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with receiving unloading and organizing incoming plant and nursery inventory.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic inventory counts.

• Support bulk material operations including loading and assisting with deliveries of mulch soil rock compost and other landscape materials.

• Operate nursery equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain nursery grounds greenhouses growing areas to ensure a clean organized and safe environment.

• Monitor and report plant health concerns pest issues or irrigation problems to management.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license
• Basic knowledge of plants trees shrubs and horticultural practices is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Hours - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm
