TRC Production Maintenance Tech

PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBLE TO: Production Superintendent FUNCTION: Primary responsibility is to maintain and service all equipment needs of the assigned production division; assists with production operations including fixture and training aid fabrication. Assists with training and supervision on production floor as required. SPECIFIC DUTIES: TECHNICAL: Helps maintain a system for routine and repetitive and preventative maintenance repairs renovations and production equipment up new equipment and performs an operational walk-through with new and services production equipment both preventative and emergent including all production sewing machine of production and/or adaptive fixtures used in for all day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance work; may also include limited carpentry and electrical :Assists in the investigation and purchase of production machinery and equipment within the with TRC Maintenance Department to ensure all jobs within production area are completed as designed and to in plant Safety preventative and daily maintenance records for machinery within area of appropriate levels of replacement parts for : Supervises production workers as required in absence of supervisor including but not limited to: a. direction of production requirements b. scheduling of work as required c. participating in disciplinary actionsd. approval of time off :Performs all other related duties as needed or KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good working knowledge of mechanical repair and electrical diagnostics; demonstrated skill in identification and troubleshooting with regard to mechanical and electrical equipment; ability to problem solve and work independently; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to read drawings both mechanical and electrical; knowledgeable in HVAC and air compressor maintenance and air delivery systems. Must be able to work with others both management and non-management within and outside of the organization. Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed or assigned to ensure that production deadlines are met. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and five (5) years experience in the maintenance field. Experience in an industrial sewing environment strongly : Formal technical training in electrical or mechanical maintenance may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. 8/09 Business Operations THE RESOURCE CENTERGrade 13 Non- Exempt
