Responsibilities
InSiteChemists perform a wide range of tasks including:
Making waste pickups at labs as needed
Packaging and labeling waste products and othermaterials
Identifying unknown chemicals when they are encountered
Performing inspections of staging accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance
Collect segregate and properly package waste chemicals for efficient and compliant disposal
Overall quality control ofwastematerials beingstored and shipped
Completing required manifests and tracking paperworkUtilizing CHOICE waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste programs.
This position is an entry level role but many of our leaders started in this job!With safety as our top priority youll get the training and support to not only succeed at your job butadvance your career.
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel to Atlanta (including Chamblee and Lawrenceville) Georgia and San Juan Puerto Rico as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from job sites.
- High Schooldiploma
- Valid driverslicense
- Prior chemical handling experience or chemistry knowledgepreferred
- BS/BA in Chemistry Biology or Environmental Science a plus;
- Successfully complete a background check drug test and physical by position
- Per OSHAs Respiratory Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.34 employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
