- Understands how the Carpenter interacts with a Laborer during the tank building processand can direct the work as required.
- Establishes crews assigns responsibilities and follows through on assigned work to meet theproject timeline.
- Reads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work isperformed according to specifications.
- Inventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawingsprior to signature.
- Involved in daily closeout meetings with the Superintendent providing an update on the daysactivities and needs for the following day.
- Follows quality control (QC) program understands construction tolerances and reports anyquality defects immediately.
- Checks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components.
- Follows and upholds safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies.
- Identifies hazards takes action to correct them and is responsible for recognizing those who dothe same in accordance with the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.
- Promotes clean safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work.
- Provide coaching and training while motivating the team to produce quality work and ensure allsafety standards are met with all individuals on the project.
- Maintain all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.
- Performs all jobsite layout utilizing survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent.
- Supports the training program by working closely with other traveling tank builders and utilizingall resources available in DN University.
- Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager.
- Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework stairs ladders shoring and scaffolds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes gloves safety glasses hearing protection hardhat vest etc.
- Ability to complete DN Tanks crane certification.
