Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave technology.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Review patient history and clinical information to assist with accurate diagnosis.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation and image labeling for patient records.
- Assist physicians with specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies.
- Ensure patient safety comfort and confidentiality throughout procedures.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and coordinate service or repair requests as needed.
- Follow infection control safety and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
- ARDMS credential required.
- Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN through ARDMS.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends in a hospital environment.
- Experience in acute care or hospital-based ultrasound settings.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
