Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week Rotating Shifts & Weekends
Shift Options: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM 11:00 AM 7:00 PM 3:00 PM 11:00 PM 4:00 PM 12:00 AM

Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave technology.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.
  • Review patient history and clinical information to assist with accurate diagnosis.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain proper documentation and image labeling for patient records.
  • Assist physicians with specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies.
  • Ensure patient safety comfort and confidentiality throughout procedures.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and coordinate service or repair requests as needed.
  • Follow infection control safety and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • ARDMS credential required.
  • Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN through ARDMS.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends in a hospital environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in acute care or hospital-based ultrasound settings.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
