Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will evaluate diagnose and treat speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric patients.

This role is ideal for clinicians experienced in structured rehab environments who are focused on improving communication cognitive function and swallowing outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Assess patients with speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy to improve communication and swallowing function
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OT PT nursing and physicians
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and clinical standards


Assignment Details

Start Date: 06/01/2026
End Date: 08/31/2026

Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 08:00 16:30

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Contract Length: Approximately 13 Weeks


Requirements

Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
ASHA certification preferred (if applicable)
Prior rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical evaluation and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Must comply with facility onboarding requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
