Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will assess diagnose and treat speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric patients.

This role is best suited for clinicians experienced in structured rehab environments who are committed to improving patient communication and swallowing function outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients with speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy to improve communication and swallowing function
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including OT PT nursing and physicians
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and clinical care standards

Start Date: 06/01/2026
End Date: 09/07/2026

Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 08:00 16:30

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Contract Length: Approximately 15 Weeks


Requirements

Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
ASHA certification preferred (if applicable)
Prior rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and patient care abilities
Must comply with facility onboarding requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
