Inpatient Surgical Unit

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is seeking motivated compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our fast-paced Inpatient Surgical Unit primarily serving the CarePlex postoperative patient population. Our unit experiences a quick turnover of patients and provides care for patients with complex needsacross a wide range of surgical specialties including:

• Vascular
• Neurosurgery
• General Surgery
• Orthopedic
• Podiatric
• Colorectal
• Bariatric
• Plastic
• Gynecologic
• Urologic

In this role you will work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary teamto deliver exceptional postoperative addition to postoperative care we occasionally provide care to patients with general medical needs.

Education

• Associates Bachelors Masters or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• NIH stroke scale

Experience

• Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
