Job Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility restore function and achieve rehabilitation goals through individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities

Monitor patient progress and report findings to the Physical Therapist

Educate patients and families on prescribed exercises and treatment techniques

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Assist in improving patient mobility strength balance and functional independence

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient outcomes

Ensure compliance with facility policies and professional standards

End Date: 10/17/2026

Shift: Day Shift

Shift Time: 08:00 AM 04:30 PM

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 35 per week

Requirements

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license

Previous rehabilitation skilled nursing or outpatient experience preferred

Strong patient care and communication skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and rehabilitation practices

Valid state/federal photo ID required onsite at all times

Compliance with onboarding and facility requirements

Must maintain all required credentials and certifications
