Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist in delivering patient-centered therapy services aimed at improving functional independence and quality of life.

This role is suited for professionals who are passionate about hands-on patient care and supporting structured rehabilitation programs.


Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills
Monitor and document patient progress and responses to therapy
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise and adaptive strategies
Collaborate with OT PT PTA and nursing teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and facility policies
Support rehabilitation goals that promote patient independence

Start Date: 06/01/2026
End Date: 08/31/2026

Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 08:00 16:30

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Contract Length: Approximately 13 Weeks


Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required
Graduation from an accredited COTA program required
Prior rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
