**This position requires routine onsite meetings**
Schedule:
Majority of hours you are able to self-create (day shift)
Weekends are an option to work
No holidays
Occasional on-site presence required for meetings
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collects abstracts enters and maintains quality data of all trauma and traumatic injury patients through the use of the trauma registry which is used for performance improvement work and national risk-adjusted benchmarking.
The ThedaCare-Neenah Trauma Data Abstraction Analyst ensures the registry requirements are met for successful continuous verification as a Level II trauma center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in compliance with the data dictionary and the Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) of the ACS.
The ThedaCare system Trauma Data Abstraction Analyst has responsibilities to ensure data abstraction and submission is in compliance with the State of Wisconsin Classification Review Committee and Department of Health Services (Level III and IV Trauma Care Facilities).
Develops and provides reports to trauma services and other customers as needed to positively impact care to patients prevention activities and clinical team education.
Participates in local regional and state registry initiatives within the Regional Trauma Advisory Council (RTAC) and State Trauma Advisory Council (STAC).
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be 18 years of age
Experience as an employee in a healthcare environment (examples but not limited to: paramedic coder nurse unit resource clerk)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
