How youll contribute

ATransporter who excels in this role:

  • Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Operating Room (OR) Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Outpatient Services.
  • Assist in operating room turnover by cleaning between cases moving equipment and restocking supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with surgical anesthesia and nursing staff to coordinate patient movement and room readiness.
  • Follow strict infection control safety and hospital protocols during all transport and room turnover activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment storage areas and transport carts.
  • Support team workflow by anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests from OR staff.
  • Observe and report any patient concerns equipment issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.

What were looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Previous CNA experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and operate/move equipment and supplies safely.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range; ability to reach overhead sit stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and support staff.
  • Ability to remain calm prioritize tasks and perform effectively in fast-paced or stressful perioperative environments.
