About the Role:
Nevoya is seeking a hands-on transportation leader to own the daily execution of our Texas transportation operation. The Transportation Manager Operations leads the dispatch team and the operating rhythm that connects customers loads drivers equipment charging service recovery and load closeout.
This is not a desk-only management role. You will set priorities coach decision-making remove barriers and step into live operations. You will build a team that acts with ownership communicates clearly and solves problems at the right level knowing when an issue requires escalation.
You will also turn frontline experience into a stronger operating system by standardizing handoffs improving data quality identifying recurring failure points and partnering with Safety Fleet Customer Success Commercial Finance Product and Engineering. As Nevoya expands its electric fleet this leader will help convert new capacity into safe reliable and profitable service.

Team Leadership & Coverage:
Lead coach and develop Dispatchers across day evening overnight and weekend coverage.
Set clear daily and weekly priorities decision rights workload assignments and escalation expectations.
Build dispatcher capability through observation feedback scenario coaching cross-training and documented development plans.
Own staffing plans shift coverage schedules attendance response onboarding and training in partnership with Transportation leadership and People Operations.
Establish disciplined shift handoffs so open loads driver risks equipment constraints customer commitments and next actions transfer cleanly.
Step directly into dispatch during callouts peak demand service failures or other time-sensitive operating events.
Transportation Execution:
Direct daily load planning and dispatch execution from order acceptance through pickup delivery proof of delivery and operational closeout.
Ensure drivers receive accurate assignments timely support and clear instructions; resolve routing appointment facility accessorial pay and home-time issues.
Manage Hours of Service driver availability route feasibility and exception planning before they become service failures.
Coordinate EV range and charging plans accounting for route dwell charger access equipment availability and customer commitments.
Maintain real-time visibility to every active load and ensure operating systems telematics and customer updates accurately reflect current status.
Coordinate equipment readiness and service recovery with Fleet and Maintenance; escalate defects roadside events and capacity risks with clear ownership and follow-through.
Customer Driver & Cross-Functional Partnership:
Create trust with drivers and customers through accurate commitments proactive communication and reliable follow-through.
Serve as the senior operations escalation point for dispatch driver broker vendor and customer service issues.
Partner with Customer Success and Commercial to communicate risks recover service understand changing volume and translate customer expectations into executable operating plans.
Partner with Safety and Compliance to reinforce DOT Hours of Service inspection incident-reporting and company requirements.
Work with Finance and Billing to improve document control proof-of-delivery capture accessorial support load closeout and revenue accuracy.
Bring clear operating evidence to Product and Engineering participate in testing and help prioritize workflow or system improvements without shifting day-to-day operating ownership away from the transportation team.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
Own a daily and weekly operating cadence that reviews service safety utilization staffing driver and equipment risks customer issues and unresolved actions.
Track performance using trusted data and investigate gaps before drawing conclusions or tying results to accountability.
Identify recurring failures determine whether the root cause is people process technology capacity or structure and lead practical corrective action.
Create maintain train and audit standard operating procedures for dispatch handoffs escalation exception management and load closeout.
Forecast volume driver tractor trailer and charging needs; surface constraints early and recommend operating responses.
Support launches of new fleets customers and lanes then optimize those operations for reliable performance.

What Youll Bring:
5 years of transportation fleet logistics or dispatch experience including 2 years leading people in a live transportation operation.
Demonstrated success managing drivers dispatchers equipment customer commitments and operational exceptions in an asset-based or dedicated environment.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations Hours of Service ELDs driver safety equipment readiness and common transportation operating practices.
Experience using a TMS telematics routing dispatch or fleet-management platform; strong Excel or equivalent analytical capability.
Ability to interpret operating and financial metrics identify root causes and convert findings into clear actions and accountability.
Strong written and verbal communication with the judgment to be calm direct and specific during high-pressure events.
Willingness and ability to work in a 24/7 operation including rotating on-call support and nights or weekends when business conditions require it.
Bachelors degree in business transportation logistics supply chain or a related fieldor equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
Dedicated private-fleet local regional drayage or relay-network operations.
Responsibility for an operating budget P&L inputs revenue cost or margin improvement.
