Transportation Dispatcher Night Shift
Job Summary
- Asset Management Strategically oversee Class A CDL drivers tractors and trailers to optimize dispatch processes.
- Compliance & Safety Enforcement Ensure driver adherence to DOT regulations company policies and C-TPAT best practices.
- Performance Monitoring Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery route adherence and Hours of Service compliance.
- Technology Utilization Utilize logistics software including TMW Peoplenet and PCMiler for data-driven decision-making.
- Customer Issue Resolution Address service exceptions and customer inquiries providing timely and effective solutions.
- Operational Efficiency & Cost Control Develop strategies to improve asset utilization and optimize transportation costs.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship Supervise and mentor assigned drivers fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement Analyze operational data identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to streamline logistics functions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Management Transportation or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management software.
- Experience with transportation systems such as TMW Peoplenet and reporting tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of DOT regulations C-TPAT compliance and transportation best practices.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to multitask troubleshoot logistics challenges and implement solutions efficiently.
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills to coordinate with drivers management and customers effectively.

Required Skills:
Qualifications & Requirements Bachelors degree in management transportation or related field (or Associates degree with 4 years experience in logistics/operations). Proven leadership experience in operations logistics or terminal management. Proficiency in MS Office 365 transportation software (TMW Peoplenet etc.) and reporting tools. Strong knowledge of transportation fleet modeling DOT regulations and C-TPAT compliance. Excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid drivers license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
