Transportation Coordinator (Driver)

Job Summary
Schedule: Full-time Tuesday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) plays a critical role in delivering a structured reliable and resident-focused transportation program within the community. This role extends beyond driving to include transportation coordination scheduling resident communication and operational support.
In this position your main responsibilities will include:
- Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours including but not limited to coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
- Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical recreational and personal transportation to
- Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
- Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean fueled and in good working condition.
- Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events including planning logistics resident participation and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
- During non-driving hours provide community support as needed including programming interdepartmental support and other operational tasks maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
- Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this position we believe that you will need the following experiences strengths and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
- Must have a valid state Class E Drivers License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles buses and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
- Previous experience with older adults transportation or coordination preferred.
