The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for planning assisting and coordinating transportation operations while maintaining a high level of service and responding to inquiries and concerns

Position Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. staff parents students etc.) for the purpose of providing information facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
• Assist with activities related to scheduling dispatching routing and tracking transportation vehicles from on-site inbound and outbound fleet.
• Assist with management of incoming/outgoing communications including email and phone
• Sends daily reports to appropriate parties
• Use software tools including CRM for scheduling maintenance and other applicable applications.
• Make recommendations to Transportation Supervisor for cost savings and efficiency improvements by analyzing data and identifying trends/opportunities.
• Ensure that transportation group provides excellent internal and external customer service.
• The position requires the ability to plan and also respond quickly to develop and execute transportation solutions.
• Adhering to all company policies procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• High School Degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to read understand and comply with the rules and regulations of the State and Federal DOT
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences including phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced ever-changing organization
• A superior work ethic
• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Bachelors degree
• Bilingual

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The ability to work flexible hours to include nights weekends and holidays is required
• Should be able to sit at a desk and computer screen in a shared office environment for 8 hours per day.
• This role is considered essential and may be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures in order to meet operational requirements
