Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the transport of solid waste from a Transfer Station to the landfill following a designated route. The driver is responsible for the safe operation care and appearance of assigned ResponsibilitiesTransport solid waste to designated condition of mechanical equipment and notify appropriate shop personnel of needed repairs or any operational problems including proper Pre and Post trip all safety guidelines and policies as initiated by the for maintaining thorough and complete process records and logs and good be responsible for responding to various emergency situations as directed by may vary depending on task requirements and volume and may include general site other duties as RequirementsEducation & Experience:Must possess a high school diploma or a valid Texas Class A Commercial Drivers License and good driving of three years prior experience in the operation of Class A CDL Skills & Abilities:Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of tools (screwdriver wrench etc.) and how to use possess the ability to use e-mail internet smart phone and Physical Working ConditionsDriving a District vehicle for business will be required. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties are responsible for maintaining a current valid and vehicle - appropriate driver s license of their resident state. Work conditions primarily include outdoor activities but may vary from indoor to outdoor. Outdoor activities may involve exposure to odor hot cold dusty dirty and/or noisy conditions. Activities may require sitting standing walking bending climbing kneeling picking up trash pushing pulling carrying dragging up to 75 pounds of equipment. Work may vary depending on task requirements.
