Overview:

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk Virginia is hiring a Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse for the Advanced Heart Program!

The Transplant Coordinator plays a critical role in facilitating the complex logistics of organ transplantation while prioritizing patient safety and well-being while ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for both the donor and recipient.

The Transplant Coordinator coordinates the clinical management of the transplant/VAD patient including the transplant/VAD evaluation the transplant/VAD process and follow-up care. Provides clinical leadership to care team members allowing staff to plan direct manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Education

• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required)

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
• All Direct Care RNs required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) required within three (3) years of hire.

Experience

• Two (2) years of related nursing or transplant experience required.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $103916.80 - $154689.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/on-call pay shift premiums extra-shift incentives or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications experience location market conditions and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted it is based on a full-time colleague working 2080 hours annually.
