The Transmission Technician will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining automotive transmissions. This role requires a keen understanding of transmission systems excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics to identify issues with transmissions
Discuss repairs with shop foreman/service advisor
Provide labor estimates and communicate additional service requests to the Service Advisor
Plan work and monitor repair time with shop foreman/service advisor
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Document repairs and services accurately
Repair or replace faulty transmission components
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins
Understand and follow federal state and local regulations (disposal of hazardous waste)
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of service experience preferred
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Highly professional and dependable
Safety and customer service oriented
Able to bend kneel squat stand and lift heavy objects as needed
Valid drivers license

Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of the position are MEDIUM to HEAVY in intensity.
Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
Visual acuity requirements include color depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
Constant Reaching sitting standing walking fingering grasping feeling talking hearing.
Frequent Repetitive motion.
Occasional Balancing kneeling crouching pushing pulling and lifting up to 100 lbs.
Physical Working Conditions
This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes outside weather conditions slightly elevated ambient noise levels minor potential physical hazards as electrical mechanical and cleaning equipment and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes odors and dusts associated with operation an auto dealership.
