Transition Architect
The person in this role will be part of the SaaS Upgrade and Transitions Team and will be responsible for routinely and proactively assessing PTC software PTC tooling and customer specific landscapes to qualify that there are valid paths to either upgrade them to newer supported versions and/or to a new PTC SaaS offering when applicable.
The SaaS Upgrade and Transitions Team is responsible for ensuring that there are viable and well understood paths for keeping our SaaS hosted customers on supported versions of our software. We strive to ensure that customers understand the processes and expectations with upgrading their solution(s) support efforts to ensure that our customers are continuously in a state where we can upgrade them to a newer version of our software with minimal challenges and efforts and to help qualify the viability of customers who may be a candidate to move to a different SaaS offering.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Leads efforts in qualifying that platform/product release updates function as expected
- Maintaining and communicating an awareness of PTC Products and feature release schedule
- Identifies issues with the platform/product and drives them to a resolution
- Engages with both internal and external stakeholders to understand where platform and product improvements can and should be made
- Effectively communicating required Enhancement requests
- Supports educating customers on operational processes and expectations around SaaS offerings
- Reviews project outcomes and deliverables to ensure any gaps in platform/product are identified and addressed
- Provides platform tooling mentoring and guidance to operation teams
- Reviews customer build and customization packages and provides feedback on potential issues that may be upgrade impactful
- Builds knowledge content/materials and delivers enablement to relevant stakeholders when necessary
- Expected to participate and lead discussions with various other groups within PTC including but not limited to R&D Product Management Customer Success and Service Management at various levels from Engineer to VP levels
Requirements:
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming expertise
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong motivation to learn new technologies
- Ability to effectively train people
- High tolerance for ambiguity
- Strong time management skills
- Implementation knowledge around PTC Windchill software
- Bachelors Degree in relevant technical field (IT CS Programming etc.) highly desirable or equivalent relevant education and experience
- 4-8 years professional technical experience preferred
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Proficiency in web development technologies Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Project and Outlook
- This position requires US citizenship

- Familiarity with SaltStack
PTC carefully considers a widevarietyof factorswhendeterminingcompensation.Theanticipatedannual salary range for this positionisbetween$100000-$120000.The salary rangereflectsa good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.Actualcompensationmay vary based on a candidates skills qualifications experience and location.
