Transformer Technician III

Job Summary
- Assemble transformer components including radiators bushings and conservators
- Perform degassing pressure and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
- Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets and O-rings as needed
- Assist in the teardown and prep of transformers for transport or disposal
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
- Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders on time and accurately
- Operate and inspect tools vehicles and heavy equipment safely
- Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise electrical hazards and elevated work areas
- Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and customer leads
- 510 years of experience in transformer oil processing service or assembly
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office and online platforms
- Clear professional communication and ability to follow directions
- Able to work independently while staying aligned with team goals
- Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license
- Must pass a DOT physical exam
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Available for extended and irregular hours including weekends and holidays
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs working at heights (100 ft) in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather
- Requires good vision hearing and English proficiency for safe effective communication in noisy environments
- Experience with transformer oil filtration testing or disassembly
- Class A CDL OSHA training and/ or a TWIC card
- Hold a DOT medical certification
- Familiarity with transformer components control wiring or oil filtration
- Experience using shop equipment electrical tools or test platforms
- Knowledge of transformer teardown or disposal prep procedures
- Prior experience working around energized equipment or substations
