Transactional Associate Attorney – Community Association Law

Pay: $150000.00 - $170000.00 per year

Note: An active California Bar license in good standing is required. Community association or HOA matters experience is preferred but is a soft-screen qualification not a requirement.

Job Description

• Advise homeowner associations community association boards and community managers on transactional and general counsel matters.
• Counsel clients regarding Davis-Stirling Act compliance and other laws affecting common interest developments.
• Interpret revise and restate governing documents including CC&Rs bylaws rules and policies.
• Advise on board governance elections meetings and association procedures.
• Draft review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Advise clients regarding maintenance repair assessment and community operations matters.
• Assist with fair housing requirements disability accommodations and related legal issues.
• Research legal issues and provide clear practical recommendations to clients.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and serve as a responsive legal resource.
• Manage assigned matters while working collaboratively with attorneys and professional staff.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Attorney experience in transactional real estate corporate community association or related legal work.
• Community association or HOA matters experience is preferred.
• Strong legal research writing drafting analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent judgment and ability to provide practical legal advice.
• Strong client-service mindset and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
