Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Specialistis responsible fordeveloping delivering and managing technical training programs for maintenance personnel. This role ensures that maintenance teams have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively troubleshoot repair andmaintainsawmill equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have strongexpertisein industrial maintenance training program development and hands-on technical instruction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and implement training for all maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and implement a division approved Maintenance Training Program.
  • Train personnel on maintenance evaluation and analysis to help determine root causes.
  • Assist in maintenance evaluations at specific division facilities as requested.
  • Support facility in upholding OSHA requirements within the Training Program.
  • Contribute to identifying safety issues within the program and collaborate with the Safety Specialist to roll out corresponding training updates.
  • Maintain and administer the training management platform ensuring content records and reporting remain current and accurate.
  • Schedule and maintain vendor-provided training programs to ensure timely delivery and ongoing compliance.
  • Support school and shop training programs as a subject-matter resource.
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Journeyman Millwright Certification or a maintenance background.
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of safety principles and OSHA requirements.
  • Available to train on all shifts when needed including day shift swing shift and weekends.
  • Skills:
    • Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Examples include time management multitasking and project management.
    • Attention to Detail: The ability to identify errors inconsistencies and inaccuracies. Examples include quality control proofreading and precision in execution.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient computer skills Microsoft Word Excel Outlook.

    • Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and safety protocols.

  • Soft Skills:
    • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve a common goal.

    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

  • Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.

  • Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Examples include time management multitasking and production targets.

  • Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
  • Ability to work long hours and occasional weekends.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test post-offer pre-employment physical and background check
  • Valid Drivers License with acceptable motor vehicle history for business travel in companyvehicle.
