This role works closely with plant leadership Human Resources Environmental Health and Safety Quality Engineering Operations and other functional teams to identify workforce capability needs and deliver effective training Training Manager will build and maintain training programs that support employee safety product quality operational excellence leadership development regulatory compliance and employee growth. The anticipated application window will close on October 30 Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesTraining Strategy and Program LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive plant training strategy aligned with operational priorities workforce needs and broader organizational with functional leaders to identify training gaps establish priorities and recommend practical learning annual and ongoing training plans that support production requirements new-hire readiness employee development and business guidance to plant leadership regarding training priorities resource requirements and workforce capability training programs are scalable sustainable and aligned with the needs of a fast-paced manufacturing as the primary point of contact for plant-wide training initiatives and workforce development and Technical TrainingDevelop coordinate and oversee manufacturing training programs that support safe and effective job structured onboarding and qualification programs for new manufacturing with Operations Quality Engineering and Safety to create and maintain standardized training materials work instructions job aids and qualification technical and operational training related to manufacturing processes equipment quality standards safety practices and standard operating and maintain role-based training plans skills matrices certification requirements and cross-training employees are appropriately trained and qualified before independently performing assigned training needs related to new equipment process changes product launches continuous improvement initiatives and organizational consistency in how employees are trained evaluated and qualified across departments and -Hire Onboarding and Employee DevelopmentLead the development and continuous improvement of the plants new-hire orientation and manufacturing onboarding with Human Resources and Operations to ensure new employees receive consistent timely and role-specific training programs that improve employee engagement job readiness productivity retention and career development pathways for production employees technical team members trainers supervisors and emerging succession planning and internal talent development by identifying skill gaps and recommending targeted development and deliver leadership communication coaching interpersonal customer service team building and performance management programs as and Leadership DevelopmentSelect develop coach and evaluate trainers subject-matter experts and designated on-the-job clear expectations and qualification standards for employees responsible for delivering or supporting leaders with tools and guidance to reinforce training evaluate employee proficiency and address performance train-the-trainer programs to strengthen instructional quality and strong relationships with employees and leaders across all levels of the Savannah an environment of continuous learning accountability and employee Design and Training DeliveryPersonally design and facilitate instructor-led virtual web-based and on-the-job training adult-learning and instructional-design principles to create engaging and practical learning the most effective delivery method based on the audience content operational environment and desired professional training materials facilitator guides participant materials presentations assessments job aids and reference hands-on practice knowledge checks demonstrations and performance assessments into training training materials are current accurate accessible and aligned with approved procedures and business translation or bilingual delivery of training materials when Administration Compliance and MeasurementMaintain accurate training records qualification documentation attendance records completion data and required training documentation supports internal requirements regulatory expectations quality standards and audit training completion and promptly communicate gaps or risks to the appropriate metrics to evaluate training participation knowledge retention qualification progress program effectiveness and operational training data and employee feedback to identify trends and opportunities for whether training programs achieve the intended business and performance and present training updates progress reports and recommendations to plant internal and external audits by providing accurate training documentation and evidence of training resources and external providers responsibly and within approved budget Partnerships and ResourcesIdentify and manage external consultants vendors educational institutions and training providers when specialized support is external programs for quality relevance cost-effectiveness and alignment with JCBs partnerships that support technical skills development leadership capability and workforce duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources Organizational Development Education Business Operations Management Industrial Technology or a related field. Three to five years of relevant experience in training learning and development organizational development or workforce development. At least two years of experience supporting manufacturing industrial production distribution or a related operational environment. Experience designing facilitating and evaluating employee training programs. Experience partnering with operational leaders to identify skill gaps and implement training solutions. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects priorities and stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and training-related technology. Must pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsMasters degree in Human Resources Organizational Development Education Business or a related field. Five to seven years of progressive training manufacturing or workforce-development experience. Previous experience leading a training function team or plant-wide learning program. Experience developing manufacturing onboarding technical qualification on-the-job training or train-the-trainer programs. Experience using a learning management system or other digital training platform. Experience supporting multiple shifts or a large hourly workforce. Knowledge of continuous-improvement principles and structured problem-solving methods. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred with the ability to communicate and facilitate training effectively in both Skills Abilities & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of learning and development practices adult-learning principles and instructional design. Ability to translate operational requirements into practical engaging and measurable training programs. Strong understanding of training needs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
