Office of Employee and Business Services
The Office of Employee and Business Services (OEBS) provides customer service and operational support to ODJFS through five bureaus: Business Services Civil Rights and Labor Relations Human Resources Multimedia Services and Training and Educational Services. What You Will Do
In this role you will play a key part in developing the skills and effectiveness of both ODJFS internal staff and County JFS partners. Your work centers on creating engaging learning experiences supporting leadership development and ensuring staff have the tools they need to perform their roles confidently and consistently. This position blends instructional design facilitation collaboration and organizational support. Job duties include:
Conduct needs assessments and support program consultations.
Create and facilitate in-person and virtual training.
Facilitate courses such as team building DISC and soft skills training.
Support development of supervisors leadership program.
Assist with projects such as New Employee Orientation Supervisor Bootcamp and other Employee and Business Services projects.
Test training modules for LMS implementation.
Support updates to the teams internal SharePoint pages.
Develop job aids SOPs evaluations visuals and forms.
Preferred Skills:
Strong facilitation skills for both inperson and virtual training environments.
Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
Excellent oral communication and presentation abilities.
Strong written communication skills including creating resources and job aids.
Ability to conduct needs assessments and apply analytical thinking.
Demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Adaptability and comfort working across multiple program areas.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with elearning development tools and learning management system (LMS) environments.
Change management awareness and the ability to support change initiatives.
Schedule: Full-time.
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Location: James A. Rhodes State Officer Tower - 30 E. Broad Street 30th floor Columbus OH 43215.
Travel: Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.

The candidate at minimum must have the following:
Option 1:
- 18 mos. exp. preparing & delivering informational & instructional programs for adults using instructional design model & doing & analyzing performance needs assessments.
Option 2:
Completion of associate core program in instructional design adult learning education instructional technology or related field.
Option 3:
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohios E1 Pay Schedule Pay Range 12. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $33.32 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
