Trade Compliance General Counsel

As a Trade Compliance General Counselhere at Honeywell you will be responsible for overseeing legal matters related to export and sanctions compliance ensuring our operations align with applicable laws and regulations. While the majority of your time may be spent on export and sanctions-related matters you will also be responsible for antiboycott compliance matters as assigned. Your expertise in these areas will be instrumental in protecting our interests and driving our success as a best-in-class compliance program.

You will report directly to Honeywells Chief Compliance Officer within the Legal Department and you will work out of our Charlotte NC Headquarterson a hybridwork schedule. You will manage a team of experienced global trade compliance professionals.

In this role you will support Honeywells compliance with complex legal and regulatory frameworks with a focus on export control regimes and sanctions regulations. Your legal acumen and operational insights will enable Honeywell to operate ethically and effectively in the global market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

YOU MUST HAVE

• 10 years of experience practicing law with a focus on sanctions compliance and export controls.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Expertise in building programs and deploying compliance tools and technologies relevant to export and sanctions.
• Deep expertise in export control laws and U.S. sanctions and regulations with knowledge in key non-U.S. jurisdictions as well.
• Experience conducting risk assessments with the stated goal of strengthening Honeywells trade compliance program and providing proactive strategies to mitigate risk.
