The Town of Winthrop is seeking an innovative collaborative and forward-thinking Town Planner to help guide the communitys growth while preserving the qualities that gives Winthrop its unique sense of place.
Located near Maines state capital Winthrop is a vibrant lakeside community of approximately 6100 residents. The Town is actively investing in its future through downtown revitalization affordable housing initiatives comprehensive planning open space conservation infrastructure improvements and community development. - The Town Planner serves as the municipalitys professional planning advisor to the Planning Board Town Council Town Manager Zoning Board of Appeals and other municipal committees.
- This position leads long-range planning initiatives administers land use regulations supports community development prepares grant applications for designated planning projects oversees environmental planning programs and administers the development review process.
