As a TPM Engineer you will play a critical role in optimizing equipment reliability and efficiency through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Principles. Youll collaborate with plant leaders coach teams and lead shop-floor improvements while analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities. This position offers the perfect blend of hands-on shop floor activities advanced data analytics and strategic problem-solving.Develop TPM Capabilities (70%)
- Partner with plant leadership to assess team capabilities and improve TPM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Mentor teams on implementing TPM methodologies to enhance equipment and process reliability.
- Deliver training on TPM tools like Visual Management 5S and Autonomous Maintenance.
- Create actionable reports to track equipment performance and highlight improvement opportunities.
Lead Shop-Floor Improvement Initiatives (10%)
- Conduct learn-by-doing sessions (Jishuken) to address critical equipment performance issues.
- Drive the adoption of standardized work processes and innovative problem-solving practices.
- Share best practices and lessons learned to foster continuous improvement.
Leverage Data Analytics & AI for Innovation (15%)
- Utilize advanced tools like EAM and Brilliant Factory data to uncover insights and improve equipment performance.
- Analyze downtime trends to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Additional Contributions:
- Assist in developing TPM checklists and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Provide input on process standards to enhance operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree OR pursuing a degree in engineering business or scientific-related field.
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical acumen across supply chain functions such as manufacturing warehousing distribution materials quality procurement and fulfillment and/or be a GE Appliances Supply Chain Development Program GearUP or Production Connection graduate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shop floor leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience within Appliance manufacturing and familiarity with Manufacturing Equipment.
- Experience in process improvement change management and/or process re-design within a manufacturing environment industrial maintenance or manufacturing engineering.
Working Conditions:
- Split time between office and manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on involvement in plant activities including lifting materials (up to 25 lbs) and using safety equipment.
- Travel up to 15% domestically to visit plants and suppliers.
