What Youll Do:

As a Toolsetter/Oper Cold Heading youll be part of our team located in Hopkinsville KY. Youll get to:

• Duties include set up change and/or adjust tooling and operate cold forming machines such as headers thread rollers and related equipment.
• Remedy any operating and tooling difficulties and assist in the training of associates.
• Stone lap and polish punches and dies when needed.
• Heat treat when required.
• Work from drawings sketches or verbal instructions.
• Visually inspect parts and use standard quality gauges to maintain quality standards including the use of SPC recording.
• Perform necessary recording of production and quality documentation.
• Must furnish own tools.
• Responsible for the quality of own work.
• Perform duties in a safe manner.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• May perform other work related to the job.
• Must be able to work overtime if needed.

• Identify report and resolve safety risks/hazards.
• Support and maintain 6-S 360 principles throughout.

Quality: perform and build quality at the source to ensure specifications are met:

• Identify and work collaboratively to resolve non-conformances.
• Support and work collaboratively to initiate and follow through with corrective actions.
• Diagnose and problem solve operational deficiencies.
• Check completed work for hardness and visually inspect as required.

Lean Manufacturing Principles:

• Participate with lean initiatives to make continuous improvements in the department (6S projects 6S 360 and SMED events)
• Communicate and follow work instructions.
• Ensure FIFO at operational levels.
• Team collaboration to ensure equipment uptime and efficiencies.
