Job Summary
The Touch Technology team develops cutting-edge Touch solutions and technologies that are central to Apples products including the iPhone iPads AppleWatch and more. You will play a key role in developing electromechanical test systems for hardware validation and ensuring that the Touch Technology team delivers the worlds best multi-touch user experience.
You will design and implement test setups and procedures to automate validation of capacitive touch sensing modules. This can include custom PCBs and mechanical fixtures as well as robotic systems. Youll be capable of analyzing the requirements of an evolving product portfolio working closely with a cross-functional team of engineering disciplines while identifying opportunities to define a common testing approach where possible.
Develop testing infrastructure to validate touchscreen performance of new Apple devices using standard lab test equipment and custom hardware as test system reports and communications with key results and progress to user documentation and training and collaborate with cross-functional teams including those focusing on electrical validation test firmware and algorithms to deliver robust and efficient to 10% travel may be required.
Proficient in the use of solid modeling tools such as NX SolidWorks or Fusion -volume prototyping (laser cutter 3D printer drill press hand tools).nFamiliarity with basic analog electronics concepts such as noise EMI filters and groundingnMinimum requirement of a bachelors degree.
Relevant experience in developing high-precision test and measurement with design for manufacturing with in high-level scripting for test automation. Python is a with PCB schematic design and test board teamwork abilities and self-motivation to tackle technical written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork skills.
