Tooling Supervisor

A medical device manufacturer is hiring a Tooling Supervisor to drive excellence in its tooling function. Youll lead a team of 4 or more technicians keeping extrusion tooling running smoothly and production on schedule. If you want ownership over how tooling gets built maintained and delivered on a fast-moving production floor this is your next role.

What youll be doing
- Schedule and perform tool cleaning inspection and preventative maintenance for all extrusion tooling
- Manage work assignments and coach the team on standard work and best practices
- Troubleshoot repair and improve tooling to meet production and customer needs
- Identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory to prevent production disruptions
- Partner with operations and engineering to improve tooling processes
- Train tooling technicians and supervise attendance and teamwork for adequate coverage
About you
- Be able to do the job as described
- Comfortable interpreting sketches blueprints and shop drawings for others
- Able to make decisions and lead others in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity
- Tool room or maintenance supervisory background a plus
- Medical device manufacturing experience a plus
