This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in micro molding complex medical device tooling and lights-out manufacturing while working alongside a highly skilled team focused on innovation precision and continuous improvement. Ideal for experienced toolmakers who thrive on solving complex technical challenges and producing world-class tooling with exceptional quality and Rsponsibilities:Build repair modify and maintain Class 101-105 molds including modular multi-cavity and hot runner Makino EDAF3 Sinker EDM equipment to manufacture precision mold and manufacture electrodes for EDM Wire EDM (GF) machining to precise new tool builds while consistently achieving tolerances up to . expertise in hardened tooling hot runner systems and multi-cavity mold tool designs and provide feedback to improve manufacturability and set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling and communicate workload progress to support project and maintain personal tooling required for precision the company with a high level of professionalism precision and attention to ownership diligence and integrity in delivering high-quality to team success by prioritizing collective results and continuous closely with Toolmakers and cross-functional teams to deliver tooling train and support apprentices and team members to build technical accurate design control records and organized digital project status technical issues and improvement opportunities compliance with ISO QMS and applicable quality established safety procedures and best a clean safe and organized work for company equipment and tooling assets to maximize reliability and extended hours as needed to meet project and customer other duties as assigned by Requirements:EducationHigh School Diploma or Toolmaker certification or equivalent 8 years of moldmaking experience including Class 101-105 tooling or equivalent experience.7 years of Sinker EDM experience including electrode design.3 years of Wire EDM (WEDM) with CNC programming setup and & SkillsStrong knowledge of mold tolerancing print reading and precision inspection troubleshooting mechanical aptitude and project management to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 be able to use precision measurement tools and work safely around machining QualificationsExperience with micro molding or micro with hot runner multi-cavity and hardened with reverse engineering and mold with molds in the 20-200 ton press proficiency in Microsoft Office the site:Our Fremont micro-molding facility specializes in high-precision injection molding within a clean room environment supporting complex small-scale medical the company:Viant is a global medical device partner providing design development manufacturing and assembly services through capabilities in materials plastics metals extrusion and automation.
