1st Shift Monday-Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
Hourly Wage Rate $36.84
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Tool & Die Maker to be based out of Wayne MI. 1st shift position for a candidate with experience. The Hourly wage rate for those holding a Journeyman card is $36.84. Reporting to the Tool & Die Manager this person will be responsible for making and maintaining all types of tools dies and fixtures.
What youll do:
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine assemblies to perform necessary repairs on tools manually-operated dies and progressive dies
- Ensure accuracy of work performed by conducting test runs on tools and/or dies to ensure all components meet specifications
- Ability to make adjustments to work performed when needed
- Ability to independently select the proper metals and materials to meet project specifications
- Set up and operate both conventional and CNC machine tools
- Interface with internal and external customers to ensure demands are being met
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork transactions tags etc.
- Adhere to all Life Saving Rules including: Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
- Ensure Safety Delivery Quality and Cost metrics are met daily
- Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas
- Other job duties as assigned
What youll bring:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience using CAD and CNC software preferred
- 1 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- 3 5 years experience in Tool & Die making required;
- Journeyman cardholder status required
- Basic math and verbal skills
- Excellent technical skills to include the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery
- Flexibility of shift scheduling to include overtime and weekends
