Job Summary
Summary/Objective
Provide assistance to the Principal in overseeing the functions of student management relating to student tardy and attendance issues assessment testing and scheduling. Serve as the schools athletic director.
Essential Functions

- Administer a program of student discipline and interact with students to encourage positive performance
- Assist with school staff evaluations
- Assist in the management of building staff including class schedules and building problems
- Assist in scheduling special events during the school day
- Assist with the development and coordination of the master schedule
- Provide general supervision to students
- Supervise extracurricular activities ensuring the Districts policies are followed
- Oversee all areas of the schools athletic programming to include developing the athletic budget
- Coordinate transportation for athletic events
- Oversee fundraising
- Manage the schedule of athletic contests and coordinate with the state association for officials
- Coordinate the distribution of awards and purchase of athletic equipment
- Establish rapport and working relationships with parents students and non-school athletic programs
- Maintain the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed
- Maintain knowledge of and adheres to all policies regulations and rules
- Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner

Supervisory Responsibility
In conjunction with school and district administration carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the districts policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position contracted for 172 days between July and June. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may regularly be required.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors or more advanced degree from an accredited university or college
- 3years of successful teaching or administrative experience or combination thereof
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in managing and overseeing a department
Required Certifications/Licenses
- Valid general education or special education teaching certificate through Arizona Department of Education.
- Valid drivers license
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
