Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Title I Teacher provides targeted instruction and interventions in reading and/or math to eligible elementary students who need additional academic support. This role is funded through federal Title I funding and focuses on helping students meet grade-level standards. The teacher works closely with classroom teachers support staff and parents to ensure academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide small group or individualized instruction in reading and/or mathematics aligned with state standards and district curriculum.

  • Use assessment data to identify eligible students and tailor interventions to meet their needs.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies within the regular education program.

  • Monitor and document student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.

  • Participate in Title I program planning evaluation and compliance activities.

  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and ways to support learning at home.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records for Title I compliance.

  • Attend professional development and staff meetings as required.

  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for federal Title I funding.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters degree preferred)

    • Valid NE state teaching certification with appropriate endorsements (e.g. Reading Specialist or Elementary Education)

    • Previous teaching experience particularly in reading/math intervention or Title I programs preferred

    • Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and interventions

    • Strong classroom management and communication skills

    • Ability to work effectively with diverse learners and collaborate with staff and families
