Overdale Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Coach Instructional Tutor(classified) to join our team!
Role Overview:
This vital position will support Tier 2 and Tier 3 students and collaborate with teachers to implement MTSS behavior interventions. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with behavior plans and strategies
Collecting and analyzing student behavior data
Supporting positive behavior development across classrooms
Working directly with students and teachers to promote success

- Must have64 college credit hours and a 2.5 GPAand provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
Position Details
Hours:7hours per day(plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract Length:174 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
Contract Adjustments:Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Full-time with benefits
Employment Type:10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:Musthave at least 64 college credits and a 2.5 GPA.
- Documentation:Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
2026-2027 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step 0):$24.63/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10):$26.97/hour

Previous experience working with students intervention systems and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
New hires may bring up to 10 years ofcomparable full-time verified experience.
- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll Note:While this is an hourly position the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
