Job Summary
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Tier II Network Technicianto support the customers computer data communications systems in providing design specifications testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.
The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows:
The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices.
Respond to and resolve incidents demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team.
Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
Draft and implement standard network change requests.
Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys TEMS coordinate and install new equipment).
Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings ensure asset management records are accurate and conduct inventory.
Coordinate network operations maintenance repairs or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6 SM/MM Fiber Serial cables SFP).
Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers MAC addresses VLANs port security applying thin and thick configs).
Layer 3 network experience (subnetting familiar with protocols such as OSPF BGP HSRP MPLS LSP GRE)
Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs Port Security Thin Configs).
Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco Juniper Brocade and Foundry OS.
Experience with Visio.
Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence.
May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs
Minimum Requirements
An active TS/SCI with poly
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years masters and 4 years bachelors and 6 years associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years.
Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Available to travel up to 20% of the time.
Available to work flexible hours to include weekend support.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Hands on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networks routers switches
Hands on experience configuring/troubleshooting switches/routers MAC addresses VLANs port security applying thin and thick configs
Experience with MLPS

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73450.00 - $132775.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
