This schedule is generally Monday-Friday but varies at times.

As an ACT Therapist youll be part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive wraparound behavioral health support. Youll work directly with clients in their communities and homes helping them build skills manage symptoms and achieve their recovery goals. This role combines clinical expertise with hands-on engagement ensuring that each person receives the support they need where and when its needed most.

About ACT/ACT TAY/STEPS
ACT (Assertive Community Treatment)/ACT TAY (Assertive Community Treatment for Transitional-Aged Youth)/STEPS (Shape Teach Evolve Prepare Support)
programs are a way of providing many types of service to people with chronic mental health disorders. ACT/STEPS teams provide services directly to people in their community. People who access ACT/STEPS services receive the wrap-around psychiatric services but within the comfort of their own home and community. ACT/STEPS team members are comprised of professionals in the areas of psychiatry social work nursing substance use disorders supported employment and peer support so they have the skills they need to meet the many needs of the people they serve. The ACT/STEPS team provides these services 24 hours a day seven days a week each day of the year.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy in both community and office settings.
Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized wellness and recovery plans.
Participate in daily team meetings and collaborate within a transdisciplinary team model.
Deliver culturally competent person-centered care to meet the unique needs of each individual and family.
Maintain accurate timely documentation in accordance with agency and state regulations.
Provide on-call crisis intervention coverage on a rotating schedule.
Offer licensure supervision if applicable.
Drive as needed to provide services and support to clients in the community; driving is an essential function of this position.

Requirements Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Masters Degree in counseling psychology or social work as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education required

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Working knowledge of DSM-5
  • A valid drivers license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
  • Licensed therapist in Missouri (PLPC LPC LMSW LCSW LMFT or PLMFT)
