BHN is currently seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join our youth and family programs in the greater Springfield area helping children build skills and achieve stability in the community.

Pay: $21.50 - $22.50 per hour

As a Therapeutic Mentor youll provide structured one-on-one support to children and adolescents reinforcing treatment goals and helping them achieve success at home in school and in the community.

• Work individually with youth to teach and model social coping and problem-solving skills

• Provide coaching and guidance to encourage positive behavior change and personal growth

• Collaborate with clinicians caregivers schools and community partners as part of a team-based care model

• Support youth in developing independent living skills and self-confidence

• Help families navigate behavioral health systems and access resources

• Document services and progress in a clear and timely manner

• Participate in supervision treatment planning and ongoing training

• High School Diploma Associates or Bachelors degree required

• At least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred

• Knowledge of behavioral health coping strategies and child/adolescent development

• Strong communication coaching and mentoring skills

• Familiarity with community resources and child-serving systems

• Interest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievement

• Valid Massachusetts drivers license and reliable vehicle required

• Comfortable with word processing email and documentation systems
