Job Summary

Student Worker Theatre Scene Shop


Number of Openings: 12


Purpose/Objective of the Role:

The Chappelear theatre scene shop worker assists with the construction maintenance and strike of the theatrical sets lights and props. This position provides hands on experience with carpentry painting welding and technical theatre. The worker will also assist in keeping an organized and safe working environment.


Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Set construction using power tools for both wood and metal work
  • Paint scenic elements as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop following safety protocols set by the Technical Director


Qualifications:

  • Interest in learning how to use power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
  • Ability to work in teams and independently as needed
