Job Summary
The Testing Specialist supports the daily operations of the Center for Student Accessibility Testing Center ensuring equitable access to exams for students approved for testing accommodations. This position works collaboratively with the Access Coordinator for Testing and Communication Access Coordinator to facilitate a secure organized and student-centered testing environment. Responsibilities include administering accommodations maintaining testing integrity coordinating logistics and supporting communication across students faculty and staff.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities/Functions:
Testing Center Operations
- Assist in the coordination and management of testing services for students receiving approved accommodations
- Administer a variety of testing accommodations including extended time readers scribes assistive technology and alternative formats (e.g. Braille or accessible digital exams)
- Monitor exams to ensure compliance with testing protocols academic integrity and security standards
Secure completed exams and prepare them for timely return to faculty
- Serve as a point of contact for students faculty and staff regarding testing services
- Monitor and respond to phone calls and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Communicate concerns irregularities or incidents to the Access Coordinator for Testing and Communication promptly
- Pick up and deliver exams as needed while maintaining confidentiality and security protocols
Maintain accurate records related to testing services and accommodations
If the answer is not known to a student question this person is to actively seek an answer on the students behalf when practical
Support general administrative tasks related to testing operations
Communication and Customer Service
- Serve as a point of contact for students faculty and staff regarding testing services

Facilities and Security
Maintain a clean organized and distraction-reduced testing environment
Monitor the testing center to ensure safety security and adherence to policies
Secure the testing suite/building at the end of each workday
Competencies/Qualifications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality exam security and uphold academic integrity standards
Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred knowledge skills and abilities
Experience working in a testing center educational setting or disability/access services
Familiarity with assistive technology and testing accommodations
Experience proctoring scribing or reading exams
Demonstrated ability to effectively de-escalate situations involving students faculty or staff with heightened concerns
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Associates degree

Compensation and Benefits:
