TEST TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

  • Set up standard test equipment (oscilloscopes function generators variable power supplies frequency counters and circuitry) to conduct functional operational environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production systems in a safe manner
  • Collect log analyze and interpret test data
  • Indicate test status on all product tested by stamping the product identification tags
  • Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems which may require collaboration with electrical engineers and other personnel
  • Build calibrate maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
  • Complete certificates of compliance when needed


Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years electronic/electrical testing and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the proper use of electrical and mechanical test and inspection equipment including DVMs oscilloscopes calipers micrometers scales and other equipment
  • Demonstrated understanding of using Job Packets
  • Basic computer skills use of e-mail and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics and basic mechanical drawings and documentation
  • Ability to work with electronic test equipment and hand tools in a manufacturing production test environment; DMMs oscilloscopes pulse function generators etc.
  • Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
  • Interact with employees vendors customers and visitors in a professional manner
  • Ability to read speak and legibly write in the English language
