Job Summary
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Test Support EMC Technicianto join our rapidly expanding team in Fremont CA. Element Fremont offers a full range of services including EMI/EMC product safety wireless/radio wired telecom environmental testing shock and vibration thermal stress international approvals and more.
This position applies engineering concepts for testing and evaluation of networking equipment for US federal and international regulatory compliance. Determining compliance requires the understanding and application of test standards diagnosing problems analyzing results and troubleshooting unexpected performance in a fast-paced environment and industry. All training provided within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.

Salary: $31-40/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance testing which includes setting up test equipment and customer equipment performing testing to applicable standards or test plans and accurately documenting the testing process and outcome
- Understand customer test plans and how to properly follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications
- Setup test equipment and follow written specifications necessary for the proper performance of the test
- Interface and communicate with product development teams to ensure device compliance and client satisfaction
- Collaborate in an engineering team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies reporting coordination of various tasks etc.
Skills / Qualifications
- BS or AS education in related field
- Previous experience with EMC testing for ITE products
- Capable of using: Spectrum analyzers signal generators Oscopes multimeters and other routine test equipment
- Familiar with CISPR FCC EN and related WW ITE test standards
- Competent with spreadsheet word processors email & and other routine office software
