CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Test Proctor EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-timeFLSA STATUS: Non-exemptREPORTS TO: Student Success CoordinatorDIVISION:Student Affairs and Enrollment ManagementCAMPUS: Central Brown County OffsiteDISTINGUISHING JOB CHARACTERISTICSResponsible for proctoring and administering standardized computer tests to groups and individuals. Maintain quiet atmosphere for testing and follow standard testing protocol as noted by said agency faculty or staff requiring the DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully an individual must perform essential duties to expected performance standards. Reasonable accommodations are made as required for persons who are disabled under the Americans with Disabilities and administers standardized tests to groups and quiet secure atmosphere for testing at the Testing Center and occasionally at High confidentiality and security of all test materials test logs and other test be vigilant and pay close attention to cheating and prevention of to administer Testing Center documentation of cheating or dishonesty to assist in disciplinary testing materials to appropriate instructors or agencies as with faculty to have information/materials to proctor exams in a timely with students who have need of special accommodations including but not limited to reading tests scribing tests or providing special testing assist with design and distribution of flyers handouts and door signs regarding Testing Centers hours and require some evening and Saturday hours to accommodate testing assigned schedule exhibits regular and punctual DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms other related duties as OF SUPERVISIONNoneEQUIPMENT OPERATEDComputer; printer; scanner; copier; telephone; and other standard office DATAStudent and other information covered by FERPA guidelines and agreed to in the Colleges FERPA Confidentiality Agreement; and all other non-public and sensitive CONDITIONSGood classroom working conditions. The work requires the use of safe work practices with office and class room PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe following physical demands are typically used to perform this jobs essential duties and responsibilities. Vision demands include close relatively detailed vision with the ability to adjust focus when typing or reading a computer screen. The employee occasionally lifts up to 10 SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of: standard office practices and procedures; placement assessment and standardized testing tools; and English grammar spelling sentence structure and to: maintain confidential and sensitive information; exhibit a pleasant public manner; work independently; exhibit attention to detail; maintain an organized working environment; apply ethical standards to work situations; make work decisions in accordance with SSCCs values; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences and promote an harassment-free environment; embrace and support constructive change; work efficiently and effectively to improve college operations; consistently follow safety and security procedures and practices; develop and maintain effective working relationships with students learning community associates and general public; contribute toward building a positive team working environment; treat others with respect as representative of in: data entry; typing; application of Microsoft Office software including Word Outlook and Excel; and other job-related software; Google Chrome; operation of standard office equipment; office organization; verbal and written appropriate combination of education training course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge skills and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: Associates degree with prior computer skills and must successfully pass required background checks in accordance with Southern State Community Colleges policies and procedures and applicable to document identity and employment eligibility as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSMust complete proctor certification process for any/all governing agencies as needed to perform the job as listing of duties and requirements listed in this description should in no manner imply that these are the only responsibilities to be performed by the employee who fills this position.
