Role Overview

We are seeking a Test Lead to drive end-to-end Quality Engineering for E-commerce and Digital platforms. This role will lead QA strategy execution and governance across web mobile and backend services operating in a distributed onsite offshore model. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership hands-on automation experience and the ability to align QE outcomes with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QE efforts across E-commerce (web/mobile) and digital platforms ensuring high-quality releases
• Own test strategy planning execution and reporting across multiple PODs/scrum teams
• Drive onsite offshore coordination ensuring seamless communication prioritization and delivery
• Establish and enforce automation-first approach (UI API and regression suites)
• Collaborate with Product Engineering and Business teams for requirement clarity and test coverage
• Define and track QE metrics (defect leakage automation coverage cycle time release quality)
• Ensure CI/CD integration of test suites and quality gates
• Lead defect triage RCA and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support UAT production validation and release sign-offs
• Mentor and guide QA team members across onsite and offshore locations

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 years in Quality Engineering with 2 years in Test Lead role
• Strong experience in E-commerce/Digital platforms (high traffic customer-facing systems)
• Hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium Playwright Cypress or similar)
• Strong understanding of API testing (Postman RestAssured etc.)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven experience managing onsite offshore delivery models
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.)
• Strong knowledge of test management tools (TestRail Jira etc.)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills

Good to Have

• Experience in retail domain (beauty/fashion/e-commerce)
• Exposure to performance testing and observability tools
• Understanding of AI-driven QE or test optimization approaches
• Experience with service virtualization and contract testing
