Test Engineer

Job Summary/Overview

The Test Engineer designs specifies and procures equipment materials hardware and software required to test products manufactured distributed or sold by the company ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create accurate test specifications and develop efficient test procedures.
• Design and specify test fixtures and procure necessary materials parts and equipment.
• Develop implement and maintain automated test solutions.
• Maintain test fixture documentation (CAD drawings schematics BOMs replacement parts lists).
• Ensure test procedures and equipment comply with ISO standards and departmental requirements.
• Develop test requirements during product design phases.
• Serve as a technical resource to manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve test and quality issues.
• Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.
• Process purchase requisitions.
• Oversee technicians or associates supporting test engineering activities.
• Perform failure analysis on returned components (as needed).
• Maintain technical competency and stay current with industry advancements.
• Complete documentation and ensure compliance with safety rules and housekeeping standards.

• Experience or familiarity in NI LabVIEW for automated test development is a plus

Other Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents procedures and safety instructions
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills (algebra geometry calculations)
• Ability to work with tools equipment and standard office systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
• 2 years of related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Valid drivers license
