Test Consulting Engineer

Our client a leading organization in the technology and networking industry is seeking a Test Consulting Engineer to join their team. As a Test Consulting Engineer you will be part of the Solution Validation Services (SVS) department supporting complex network validation projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Consulting Engineer

Location: Hybrid (RTP NC or Richardson/Dallas Texas)

Whats the Job

• Engage with customers and stakeholders to plan and execute validation engagements for complex network solutions.
• Support next-generation ACI Data Center and Service Provider platforms to accelerate deployment and adoption.
• Validate new design solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Develop test plans build lab configurations and document testing results thoroughly.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to identify issues and facilitate resolutions ensuring successful project delivery.

Whats Needed

• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco enterprise routing and switching including Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) SDA Nexus Data Center technologies and ISE.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst platforms () including StackWise Virtual WLCs and Access Points.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 network design and troubleshooting in enterprise and data center environments.
• Familiarity with network security protocols such as 802.1X MAB EAP/TLS AAA RADIUS SNMP and ISE policy management.
• Programming skills in Python and/or Robot Framework for test automation and validation.
