Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Finance

Covenant College has a beautiful 400-acre campus that stretches atop Lookout Mountain Georgia on the Georgia/Tennessee border just outside of Chattanooga. The Business Department at Covenant College an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning July 1 2027. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The Business Department at Covenant College is seeking someone with a degree in Business/Finance and professional experience and expertise to teach a variety of courses in the departments finance and accounting addition to teaching Principles of Finance Corporate Financial Management and Investments the ideal candidate will also be able to teach one or more of the following courses: Principles of Accounting Cost Accounting Business Law Statistics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach a mix of business and core courses for a total of four classes each semester
• Advise and mentor students
• Meet with prospective students
• Participate in the life of the campus community and faculty governance

Qualifications:

• A terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Business/Finance from a regionally accredited institution
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching
• Practitioner experience in Business/Finance that will elevate academic instruction in the classroom and help prepare students for careers in the field
• Interest in mentoring undergraduates
• Commitment to the mission of Covenant College
