Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Chemistry

General Summary of Position:

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking to hire a new tenure-track faculty member. The Department presently consists of 26 full-time faculty and is growing. It offers B.S. M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of the field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active high quality externally funded and internationally recognized research program.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• A Ph.D. in chemistry polymer science or a closely related discipline is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred.

This search is open to all areas of chemistry with specific interest in materials chemistry broadly defined and including polymers; artificial intelligence including applications to experimental design data-driven discovery and autonomous experimentation in chemistry; biophysics and biomaterials; and radiochemistry.

This position is full-time benefited and in the Massachusetts Society of Professors/MTA/NEA union. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within expected hiring range with minimum $75000 up to $115000.
